Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

This is a plain-language summary of how we handle your information. If anything here is unclear, email hello@withchord.com and we'll explain.

Chord ("Chord", "we", "us") is a client-portal and work-management product operated by Fresh Pages Co., based in Singapore. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist

  • Your name, email address, and the type of work you do (industry).

When you use Chord

  • Account details: the email you sign in with, and your workspace name and branding (logo, colours).
  • Business data you enter: your clients, projects, tasks, proposals, contracts, invoices, and related content.
  • Payment details: if and when paid plans are available, payments are handled by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.

Automatically

  • Basic technical information such as browser type, device, and approximate location from your IP address, and, if analytics are enabled, anonymous, aggregated usage statistics.

How we use your information

  • To operate and provide Chord, and to give you access to the product.
  • To contact you about your waitlist place, your account, and important service updates.
  • To improve the product, understand what's useful, and fix problems.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We rely on your consent (which you can withdraw) and our legitimate interest in running the service. We do not sell your personal data, and we don't use your business content to advertise to you.

Your clients' data

When you use Chord to work with your own clients, you decide what client information goes into your workspace. For that data, you are the owner and we act as your processor, storing and processing it only to provide the service to you, and never for our own purposes. You're responsible for having the right to collect and share that information with us.

Introductions to legal & accounting partners

Chord can introduce you to independent lawyers and accountants who have agreed to be listed for your country. This only ever happens because you chose it:

  • Nothing is shared until you approve it. You pick the professional, we draft the introduction email, and you read exactly what will be sent and to whom before anything leaves Chord.
  • Only what's needed goes. When you approve, we send that one professional your name, your business name, your country, what you've asked for help with, and your email address as the reply-to so they can answer you directly. We do not send your documents, contracts, client list or financial data.
  • One professional at a time. We never pass your details to more than the one you chose, never automatically, and never for anyone's marketing.
  • After the introduction, we step out. Your correspondence with them is yours — we don't receive it or store it. From that point the professional is an independent controller of whatever you go on to share with them, under their own privacy policy and professional obligations.
  • We keep a record that the introduction happened — who, when, and what it was about — so we can support you and keep the quality of our partner list honest. You can ask us to delete it.

If you never request an introduction, none of your information is shared with any professional. Partners pay us nothing and we take no referral fee, so we have no incentive to push you toward anyone.

If you're a lawyer or accountant applying to be listed, we keep the details you send us through our partner application form — your name, firm, email, website, country, specialisms and any registration details — to assess and manage your listing.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with trusted service providers that help us run Chord, under confidentiality obligations:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud: hosting, database and authentication.
  • Email delivery providers: to send sign-in links and notifications.
  • Payment providers: to process payments, when paid plans are live.
  • Legal and accounting partners: only when you ask us to introduce you to one, and only the details described above.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and may be processed in data centres outside Singapore. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to a comparable standard.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until we've launched and contacted you (or until you ask us to remove them). Account and business data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Under the PDPA, you may ask us to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's inaccurate;
  • withdraw your consent, or ask us to delete your data.

To make a request, email hello@withchord.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies & analytics

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics that don't identify you personally. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

Chord is a business tool and isn't intended for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Chord grows. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email.
